Gemius

Design that brings order to complexity

Role
UX | UI Product Designer
Years
2022 – 2025

For nearly three years, I designed digital products, communication materials, and design systems at Gemius — a company specializing in online audience measurement. I created solutions supporting marketers and publishers across 30+ markets in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

My focus was on user experience consistency, strategic product thinking, and system-based design — not only in digital interfaces but also in printed materials and marketing communication.

Challenge

Gemius operates in diverse international markets with different languages and user expectations. Designing products required us to consider regional differences — from data formats to cultural habits and the varying levels of digital literacy.

In user interviews, it became clear that many people didn’t fully understand the tools they used every day. This led to a strong focus on making interfaces more intuitive, simplifying complex definitions, and writing descriptions in clear, accessible language.

🔮 I don’t know what some options are for — maybe they’re unnecessary, or maybe they’d be helpful if someone trained me.

Building a design system

A major focus of my work was developing a scalable design system based on Atomic Design and accessibility standards. It aligned visual style and experience across multiple tools, making transitions seamless for users.

The system included UI components, a dark mode palette I helped design, and over 400 icons in multiple styles — optimized for usability in interfaces and storytelling in marketing materials.

Beyond the screen

We extended our design principles beyond digital tools to physical deliverables like brochures, manuals, and presentations. These materials were treated with the same focus on clarity, structure, and visual consistency. Easy-to-use templates helped teams communicate effectively and maintain a cohesive brand presence.

Outcomes & impact

While direct metrics were limited, the support team saw fewer user issues, and onboarding improved thanks to clearer language and labeling. The design system also sped up development, streamlining feature implementation and updates.

Skills

I worked at the intersection of UX, tech, and business, aligning user needs with market realities. This included research, prototyping, information architecture, design system development, and long-term product planning — all grounded in accessibility and strategic thinking.
